Here at Short Term Car Leasing Ltd, we aim to provide our customers with the best possible service. We want to give you upfront and honest advice from day 1, we want to provide you with what you will and won’t get charged for so you don’t get any hidden surprises.

We also want to supply you backup and support whilst your in one of our short term car leases, whether it be help and advice or help with payments and invoices.

We are investing and improving our systems all of the time to help you as our customer. This includes and improved CRM and vehicle fleet management system, to introducing Xero accounting and online payments via Stripe and GoCardless.

Before you receive your short term car lease...

We have one of the largest ranges of short term car leases, car subscriptions and flexible car leases in the industry, with access to no less than 1,000 cars at any one time. But what might be right for one customer, doesn’t mean it will be fit for you. This is where the Short Term Car Leasing Ltd team come in with their experience.

Whether your a PA sorting out their Director or Chairmans car, to a HR assistant organising a car for a new start employee or an individual looking at filling in a gap, our team will talk you through the different options.

If you have a long term car on order, then we can use our flexi-rent fleet to fill that gap right up to the point when the new wheels are delivered. We can even help sort you a long term contract hire or lease using our manufacturer terms.

During the contract period...

Our hire agreements are in place to protect both sides, but in essence they are there to ensure that our customers are kept mobile. If you have any issues during the time with the car, you can contact the team to discuss it.

This could be a problem with a parking ticket, a request for a VE103B or even looking for your next car.

If you have failed your Direct Debit, get in touch with the team who will work with you to either take the payment by credit/debit card or re-take the Direct Debit.

All of our vehicles include manufacturers warranty and roadside assistance, so should the unfortunate happen, you’ve got the backup. Our phone system will allow transfer to most of the breakdown assistance numbers. Courtesy cars aren’t guaranteed and this would be down to the individual manufacturers.

After the vehicle has been returned...

When its time to hand the keys back, our team will liase with you to return the car back to one of our locations. Depending on the supplier will depend on the area.

We can arrange collection at a cost of £1.25 + VAT per mile from your address to the required de-fleet address. When the vehicle is collected the driver will go around the vehicle and point out any obvious damage, all vehicles are then subject to a full inspection by a qualified assessor. They will look for any underlying damage, poor repairs, etc.

The return conditions on our short term car contracts is much stricter than usual, this is however, all laid out in our contracts, on our website and in a booklet that we will make available to you.

If you are having another vehicle, we will of course delivery your new car/van and collect your old one at the same time, depending on the offer you have taken, this is done free of charge.

Once we have received the final reports from the manufacturers/suppliers, this is then sent across to you with the final bill. You have 72 hours to dispute any items. This initial report can take up to 28 days after the car has been returned.

If you are un-happy with the outcome of the inspection, we do welcome a complaint to be raised via the BVRLA and will adhere to whatever the outcome is. Of course, we’d prefer it if you didn’t, as we believe we are open and honest about our processes, but it is there if required.

Credit Line and Accounts

Due to GDPR requirements and to comply with anti-money laundering laws, if you have a credit line as an individual then then an unused credit line will expire after 3 months from its last use. Our underwriters may also require additional information to re-instate this.

A business account (Ltd or PLC0 will stay open for 12 months and the credit limit suggested by our systems will remain the same unless a circumstance change within the business.

We reserve the right to carry out routine checks on a regular basis to ensure that the credit line granted still meets affordability, this is all documented within the signed contracts.

If you are new to Short Term Car Leasing Ltd then setting up a credit line or account is easy. We use external underwriters to assess credit limits and guarantees/indemnities maybe required. Should your credit be less than perfect we may alter the terms and restrict the type of cars you will be able to take.
