Shell to Introduce More Electric Vehicle Chargers

Electric Car

Great news for those with hybrid or electric vehicles! Not only have Tesla promised more Super Chargers up and down the country this year, Shell have recently made announcements that they too will increase the number of charging points on offer.

Currently, there are too few Charging Points for motorists travelling up and down the country and the increase in the amount of available Charging Points will be welcome news to those who are opting for a greener way to motor.

Shell have joined forces with Dutch Electronic Vehicle Charging provider Allego and plan to increase the number of fast chargers available at Shell garages up and down the country by the end of 2017.

Hundreds of Electronic Vehicle Charging points offered by Allego are already on offer in London but they are now keen to extend the range onto Shell garage forecourts in Derby and Eastern London as soon as possible.

The new locations will be available to find on Shell’s app and will show whether the Charging Point is available to use, currently in use, or if the status is unknown.

The introduction of more Electric Vehicle Charging Points comes after the new Bill announcement made during the Queen’s Speech.

The introduction of more Electric Vehicle Charging Points will surely make motoring in an electric vehicle or hybrid much easier and so an increase in electric models are sure to hit the roads soon.
